TASCC
Heltor Ltd are full members of the Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops (TASCC). To attain this standard we have to annually demonstrate full compliance with the TASCC Code of Practice for Road Haulage. We have been members of this scheme since 2000 and were in fact one of the first companies in the west of England to obtain the standard.
Most of the bulk goods that we carry are covered by the TASCC code of practice. The code defines which products can be carried and also lists the products that are excluded from the scheme.
Recently the Police, VOSA and the whole fertilizer industry have driven forward and implemented a new scheme, the Fertiliser Industry Assurance Scheme (FIAS). Heltor gained this new standard in August 2008. This scheme is also fully regulated and requires an annual demonstration of compliance. This authorizes Heltor to carry any type of Agricultural fertilizer.
Both of these schemes determine how the vehicles are cleaned, externally and internally and most importantly provide full traceability for every single load that is carried.
